This isn’t theoretical. There’s been public ridicule of AI-generated work, microslop memes mocking big tech for pushing half-baked AI experiences and creative communities loudly rejecting what they see as theft or degradation of craft.
And organizations are noticing a deeper cognitive dissonance internally: companies expect “AI everywhere,” while employees feel pressured without clarity on purpose, value, or respect.

Here’s the brutal logic:

People tolerate change when:

  • they feel heard,

  • they see benefit for them first,

  • and they don’t feel replaced or devalued.

You can’t lead adoption by shoving tools down spines.
